What are the two most dangerous words in the infinite universes?
RICK. SANCHEZ.
My fondness for Rick and Morty isn’t a secret… in fact have a special place in my heart for the most hunted man in the universe and his naive grandson/sidekick.
I’ve been planning on a Rick Sanchez cosplay for some time now but wanted to throw a crossplay spin on it — because let’s face it, in an infinite universe of possibilities there has got to be a fem!Rick out there, dodging the Citadel of Ricks just like Rick from C-137… and today, that Rick is me.
My initial plan for today’s #13DoH2k18 post was actually a duel cosplay tutorial, one fem!Rick and one more traditional IRL Rick Sanchez… but alas, I didn’t have enough time to get both together and out this afternoon for you, my wonderful Schwifty dah’lings. Instead, I opted for my twist on a fem!Rick. A little younger. A little more put together… but still full of all the wubba lubba dub dub a …err…. human…. can muster.
If you would like to see a more traditional version of Rick, let me know. I have all of the items to do so – even a prosthetic unibrow piece that I made in advance. Any excuse for another Rick and Morty post is fine by me.
Out of all the 13 Days of Halloween looks that I’ve released thus far, this one is my favorite and was probably the winner of “most pictures and random extra video” that I’ve done. Let’s just say that the bloopers from this look will be 75% me trying to make obnoxious burps happen on camera.
Don’t judge. It’s harder than you think…
Anyways, when it comes to cosplaying Rick, there are a few things that you ABSOLUTELY have to include; a lab coat, blue top (or dress), poofy light blue hair and matching brows, and the puke/drool drips. Bonus items would be a portal gun, flask or green wine bottle with XXX written on it, and some sort of Morty/Summer doll or cosplaying friend.
Mr. Chaos gave me a Snowball/Snuffles plushie that talks a few months ago. I couldn’t NOT use it in the video and if you hang around till the end card you can actually hear what it does. My dogs aren’t sure what to make of Snowball. Charlie doesn’t know if he wants to eat it or run from it.
One note when working with 3rd Degree SFX Silicone Compound: You will need to make sure you have everything you need before you start mixing Part A and Part B together. If mixing in any sort of pigment or color, I suggest mixing the pigment in with Part A first before adding it to Part B.
As I said in the tutorial, I used a 10mL syringe to apply the silicone. I had to cut a little bit of the nozzle away because the silicone was a tad too viscous for it to get drawn into the syringe.
If you are doing this look for a con or a party that will entail you talking or moving your jaw/lips for a while – I recommend cleaning away any foundation from the area you want to add the drips followed up by putting down a little adhesive like Pros-aide to help keep things in place throughout the night/event.
Now it’s your turn! Tell me who your favorite Rick & Morty character, what your favorite episode is, etc… in the comments below!
I hope you guys enjoy this post as much as I enjoyed goofing around as fem!rick while creating it. If you have any questions or want to know more about how I did a certain thing on this or any of my tutorials please don’t hesitate to ask me via DM or email. I love hearing from you guys!
Any guesses for tomorrow’s 13DoH2k18 adventure?
