EEK! It’s finally here. Like really, REALLY here, my dah’lings! Today is the official kickoff of my 13 Days of Halloween for 2018. Who’s excited? I know I am – and I’m maybe even a little bit nervous too because this year is going to be my biggest 13DoH EVER!
For the first tutorial of this spooky adventure, I wanted to do a throwback to 2016 and my cute little kawaii witch. This time I was completely inspired by this dress from Target… which was in the maternity section but was adorable. So there ya go. I also wanted to start things off with an easy, kid and adult alike friendly look… before we do a deep dive into the spookier looks that I have planned for the next two weeks.
This cutesy, witchy look is reasonably minimal with subtle stars on the outer cheekbones and temple areas, and for the bulk of the eye look, I used the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette keeping to the cooler pinks and a splash of warm tans/oranges for the undereye area.
…who’da thought cool-toned pinks and burnt oranges go together? It’s a weird combo that totally works.
If you are following me on Twitter you might recall me warbling about getting the LE Sugarpill Fall 2018 Liquid Lipsticks… err… well, I kinda did because… reasons, obviously. For this look, I wanted to add a bit of orange back into the look, so I balanced the cool pinks on the eyes with the pumpkin spice goodness that is Treat Liquid Lipstick from Sugarpill.
If you’re wondering why I have one spooky, honey brown eye – that’s because a few days ago I managed to scratch my eyeball with a contact (that tore on my eye while wearing it). It’s feeling better, but there will be a few upcoming tutorials/looks with similar one-eye spookiness to them as I am not allowed to wear any contacts in that eye for the next few days.

For the next 13 days, you can expect a BRAND NEW HALLOWEEN TUTORIAL from me. I’m aiming for them all to go live on YouTube and on my blog at 3 pm EST. This year I am doing a mix of looks that are creepy, cute, and maybe a little cosplay-ish with tutorials for all skill types.
