Oh February, the month that comes after the year of JANUARY. At least that’s what it seems to most, or so my social media timelines say. I had a decent January, but I’m biased because that’s my birth month and all that jazz. Speaking of January, if you want to check last month’s spread out, click here.
For the month of February, I wanted to invoke the feel of amore with lots of pink – even though I HATE THE COLOR PINK! Bleh. Look at me trying new things! Anyways, February seems to be wrapped up around Valentine’s Day, even though it’s ONE DAY out of the month. Personally, I would like to use the month of February for SELF CARE!
I’m terrible at self-care – my Patrons know this, especially since I talked about it during Episode 2 of our Patreon Podcast Newsletter. BUT! I am trying to be better. I’m trying to make time to be kinder to myself and my body. Hopefully, this month’s bullet journal theme/design helps with that.
February’s spread is not perfect. I didn’t bother with a ruler to make sure my lines were 100% straight. I tried to erase as many pencil marks as I could, BUT clearly I forgot some. This bullet journal design is not perfect – and neither am I. I’m messy. Sometimes I look really cool, but if you look closely you can see the wrinkles, dark circles, stretch marks, and zits. That’s OKAY! It’s okay to be me. And it’s ABSOLUTELY OKAY TO BE YOU!

My monthly cover page is relatively similar to January’s. Individual blocks for each day, a space for Important Quests, a Wishlist for various things, and a little area for important quests coming up next month. I originally had two additional blocks for doodles or whatnot, but after having a nice long think – I decided to draw in some “motivational” things. Little reminders that are sometimes necessary.
After my monthly spread are the Daily Tracker and Blurb pages. I HIGHLY recommend giving a daily tracker a go to keep up with your self-care, health, chores, mood, hours slept, etc.. These pages also help to keep me on task and motivate me to utilize my journal EVERY DAY!
Next up is my “business” tracker for all things jaeCHAOS. A daily posting tracker, weekly numbers for subscribers and followers, a spot for my blog posts and youtube videos that I have to get done within the month. Spaces for quests, my PATREON content, and other misc. goodies.
I find that if I write it down, I am more likely to finish my quests. And since I am working on being more productive – CONTENT WISE – on my YouTube and blog, these pages help to keep me accountable.
I switched up my weekly layouts, a bit. Instead of the square boxes that I used in January, February has longer rectangles. It’s all about tiny tweaks when it comes to journaling.
My weekly spread has spaces for jaeCHAOS weekly quests, my Top Three things I want to accomplish (whether that’s life, work, etc…) a space for either important things or groceries, a mini monthly calendar, and a weekly wrapup area that I can write down anything or use the space to share some of my highs and lows for the week.
If you’re new to my “system,” I have three little boxes for each day. The first is to jot down how many hours of sleep that I had, the second box is for my mood (I have a graded system of 1 to 12), and the last box is for my spoonie self (again, 1 to 12). I have a key for the numbers if I forget, but let’s say that I slept for 4 hours, had a mostly calm day, and experienced some brain fog. According to my chart/key, the boxes would have a 4, a 7, and 6, respectively. If you’d like me to go more in-depth about how I set this up, please let me know in the comments, and I’d be more than happy to share it with you.
The end of the month brings us to the close of my February spread. At the end of each month, I have a space to jot down how things went for jaeCHAOS, an area to talk about my overall mental health, and lastly a collection of nine little boxes to jot down my favorites and fails for the month.
The nine spaces are: Thinking, “Next Month,” Feeling, Watching, Eating, Listening, Making, Wearing, and Disliking… Most are self-explanatory and help me to round up my highlights for each month – mainly for my EOTM wrap-up posts on Patreon and my quarterly “favorites and fails” posts.
Whelp, that’s my February bullet journal layout. Not too fancy, but definitely more colorful than last month. I’ve already completed the design for March and CANNOT WAIT to show you — but I’m going to anyways.. tee hee.
